On a cold Tuesday afternoon in February, the children of Class R in Garway Primary School took a muddy walk across the fields to visit St Michaels Church. With the help of Lesley Whistance, the children (and their teachers and the odd governor) dressed up to act out the exciting story of the origins of our church.

Next they had a tour of the church with Rev Angie, seeing what happens in a baptism, gazing at the stars on the ceiling, gathering around the very old altar to look at how communion is taken, and blowing bubbles to see if they could reach the ceiling!

On Thursday, Rev Angie, along with mascots Hotchpotch and Hopscotch the hedgehogs, took the assembly and helped Class R to tell the rest of the school all about the visit. Huge thanks to Mrs Shakespeare and Class R for such a fun afternoon!
