How do we push the 'R' (reproduction) rate above one to grow our local churches? Bishop Richard explains that we'll need conviction and courage, alongside a culture of invitation as well as a growing culture of generosity if we are to see our churches growing again. And we will need to start with hopeful dependence on God in prayer....

Although our church buildings are now closed again for public worship, they remain open for private prayer, and the church will continue to meet to worship online. This time, the bishops of the Church of England and leaders of other faiths have endorsed a public letter strongly protesting about the closure of church buildings for public worship. Our acts of service to the wider community are energised by the practice of our faith; receiving the sacraments are not just another 'leisure activity', they're how Christians are sustained in the spiritual journey.
